Trauma Intensive

Offered by: Jonathan Stube

Single or repeated traumatic experiences have a way of changing the way we see the world and ourselves. Our sense of safety, intimacy with others, trust, self-esteem, and our sense of power and control over our lives are often impacted negatively by traumatic experiences. These changes often keep us in a state of anxious watchfulness that negatively impacts our own lives and the lives of those whom we love. Your counselor will work with you to tailor your trauma intensive to meet your needs. Cognitive Processing Therapy– one option for your intensive–is an empirically supported treatment that has been shown to reduce PTSD symptoms in as few as 6 sessions, with effects that last well beyond the course of treatment. If you or a loved one think you may be suffering from PTSD, we would love to help.

FORMAT: 1-3 hours of therapy a day for 10 days (Monday-Friday week 1; Monday-Friday week 2).

COST: Insurance will often cover these sessions at least in part. You would be responsible for your copay, coinsurance, deductible, and/or any amount your insurance does not cover. All intensives require a $400 deposit to reserve the counselor’s time. Reservations can be cancelled within 48 hours of booking without penalty, but after that the deposit is non-refundable.

RESOURCE: 10 Session, an NPR Special about an Intensive of Cognitive Processing Therapy

Christian Intensive

Offered by: Jonathan Stube

Christian Intensives are for individuals, couples, or families who want help working through a crisis, getting back on track, or healing from deep issues. Your counselor will combine a Christian perspective along with sound psychological training to bring healing to the wounds and deeply held false beliefs about self and surroundings. The result is a deep “heart shift” that provides new direction and healing that lasts.

FORMAT: Christian Intensives are either one-week or two-weeks long and include 3 hours of focused counseling and 1-3 hours of guided study and meditation Monday-Friday. During your pre-assessment time via telephone, your counselor will help you explore what options will provide the concentrated help you need.

COST: The cost for the whole program, including materials, assessments, and counseling is $2500 for 1 week or $4800 for 2 weeks. Insurance will often pay for a portion of that total, but the remainder will be the responsibility of the client. The client will also be responsible for housing and meals during your stay. We are happy to answer any insurance questions you have, but we cannot guarantee payment. All intensives require a $400 deposit to reserve the counselor’s time. Reservations can be cancelled within 48 hours of booking without penalty, but after that the deposit is non-refundable.
